With Cosmic Language, Seeking after the essences of Love, Beauty, the aesthetics of diversity, and harmony, SEPHA continues Music and Art activities at various places domestically and internationally, with SEPHA's continuous new releases and works, without being bound by a form of artistic expression.
0. Happend to find and meet an old guitar changed SEPHA’S life while looking for something alternative for a new way of painting in a storage room at that time. and then started to perform on the streets in Tokyo, with making sounds by the guitar as one of tools for expression, without knowing how to play a guitar. After a while SEPHA got various offers of music and art projects gradually, mainly from experimental and/or avant garde kinds of musical projects, and that expanded the SEPHA's field of music and art activity from domestic to overseas.
SEPHA moved the main base of activities from Tokyo to Los Angeles in 1990, but a few years after that, moved that main base to New York. Before started SEPHA's own music and art projects, eventually had joined and/or supported various music and art projects in many places.
After moved that main base of activities to New York, had more opportunities to meet and perform with wonderful and brilliant musicians and artists. Supported from great professional musicians was a huge help for SEPHA to continue the music activities, especially who were Lonnie Plaxico - a bassist extraordinaire, Gary Fritz - a brilliant percussionist, Marvin J. Sewell - an outstanding guitarist.
1. Performed in New York, Los Angeles, London, Paris, and Tokyo, through the SEPHA’s own music and art projects of "Words like winds" (from 1993 to 1996) and "Cosmic Language" (from 1997 to 1999), and many of the SEPHA’s original songs were released as well. In the project of Cosmic Language, the SEPHA’s abstract video art works also were shown on the stage during the live performance.
Many songs of them released in those projects at that time are included in two albums, and they are available at the music download sites.
2. From 1999 to 2003, performed and released also under the name of OFFBEAT Gurl, which was the SEPHA’s solo music project for a kind of EDM/ Acid Dance Music. From 2000 to 2003, performed the original music with the SEPHA’s original video art work under that name in Sydney and Tokyo, and eventually that expanded the SEPHA's field of music and art activity more and wider.
3. In 2005, set up the art project “Planet XG” in Tokyo for a humanitarian purpose, which the main theme is an expanding love in cosmic scale with seeking after the aesthetics of diversity and the harmony, SEPHA organized and produced performing/ conceptual art events in Tokyo. Including SEPHA, performed on the stage were various kinds of performing artists with various cultures from domestic and overseas.
That’s the festival of love, beauty, music, art, and aesthetics of diversity - an huge artwork created with the audiences interactively by the stage performances in continuous blooming of various kinds of love, beauty, music, art, cultures.
4. Currently, performing SEPHA’s own unique avant-gardish styled solo jazzy guitar with singing at various music/ art events and venues on the earth.
1. Started the creative activities from the mid-eighties, mainly for painting and drawing works in the early stage. Had group and solo exhibitions for the painting and drawing works in Tokyo and New York. Currently going on the visual art activity with seeking a unique and innovative way of both exhibition/show through/in a new media and on the net, as digital drawings and visual art works are getting increased in the SEPHA’s recent visual art works.
2. The SHOCKING PINKiee The Cat was born from SEPHA kept on receiving huge inspirations from the SEPHA’s beloved cat, the Uchu-Neco Phoelix (the Super Cat Phoelix from Outer Space), since when SEPHA met the super cat and started to live together in 2012.
From 2014, the LINE stickers’ packs and themes of the SHOCKING PINKiee The Cat are available internationally.
3. Currently the original characters’ goods created by SEPHA and the SEPHA’s works are available at the official goods shop.
